As we know that backup is very important for your data or personal information that store in your computer or your network. So you have to backup your system frequently. But problem is that if your experience is not enough you will be meet a serious computer failure backup and then it’s too late for your all very important data and information.

So please keep in mind that the time that you spend on backup your data or entire hard drive is not a hard and pain job. But it will make you feel safe with your data and all your information that you store in your system when meet a bad experience of system has problem or crash.

Backup Software in Windows

If you are using Windows XP, you have to install the new Windows backup utility from the Windows XP CD-rom. To do so, you just place the WinXP install CD into your CD-rom drive and then locate the line D:\VALEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP.

We just example in general for letter D as your CD-rom drive, but if your CD-rom drive have a different letter example D, E, or F, just change from D to your correct letter drive. And then to install the utility of Windows backup, you have to click on the file named “NTBackup.msi”.

The Windows backup utility will be installed to your computer in the system tools group. Then you can just click on Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\and choose Backup. There is a wizard that will help you through the whole backup process. Windows backup utility will backup all data in your hard disc drive and will make a recovery disk to boot.

Backup Storage Devices

To be safe you have to think about backup storage devices before you start your backup process. Yes, you can keep your backup files on CDs (CD write from CD-rom) or external hard drives and you have to do file compress to save your space and your backup time. WinXP will compress folders, subfolders, and all files during backup.
